As we look forward to honouring you, our new graduates, we want to ensure that your big day runs smoothly. Below are some of the finer details to consider for your graduation day on

Thursday, June 16 at SHS with arrival beginning at 2:00PM until approximately 5:30PM.

GRADUATION CEREMONY 2:30PM

Arrival time is at 2:00PM.

Please note there is no school in the morning.

Boys will head to their Grade 8 Homeroom to receive their grad robe and prepare for the processional. Families and guests can go directly to the Eaton Shier Gymnasium.

Ceremony will begin at 2:30PM

Boys should wear their Sterling Hall #1 dress with Grade 8 shirt, and tie, grey flannel pants and black shoes.

Each graduate can have up to 5 guests, please let us know if you require additional guests.

GRADUATION PHOTOS 3:45 - 5:00PM

Family photos and graduate photos can be taken and will be shared with families in the days following the event.

GRADUATION RECEPTION 3:45 - 5:30PM

Food and drink will be served.

HEALTH & SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Prior to coming to campus for the Grade 8 Graduation celebration and reception, all attendees must self-screen for symptoms of COVID-19.

We are a mask-friendly environment if your preference is to wear a mask please feel comfortable doing so.

All Grade 8 boys will have their graduation photographs taken at SHS on Tuesday, April 5 by New Paramount Studios (NPS). Following the sittings, you will be given an opportunity to purchase individual photographs via the NPS website (details to come at a later date).

We appreciate your help in ensuring that the boys arrive on Tuesday, April 5 in #1 Dress from the waist up (please ensure blazers are clean). We will provide a graduation gown for each boy to use.

The Sterling Hall Advancement team will host a Grad Lunch at SHS for all soon-to-be graduates only on April 5 at 1:00PM. While enjoying complimentary pizza, the boys will be welcomed into the alumni community of over 1,600 Alumni and learn about opportunities and ways to stay connected to each other and SHS. Speakers will include Alumni, Principal Rick Parsons, Executive Director of Advancement, Robin Kester, and Director of Alumni Relations, Elizabeth Gray.

A grad ring is a wonderful memento to symbolize your son’s time at SHS. With several rings and personalization options from which to choose, those boys who choose to order will receive a ring that they will be proud to wear for years to come.

Please access an order form in the Parent Portal in Online Forms. Rings will be charged to your son’s account and delivered in June. The final deadline to order a Grad Ring is April 19.

Ring sizing will be done at school on April 6.

As a member of the Class of 2022, your son will soon be taking a huge step forward in his journey. Please consider commemorating the occasion by including a congratulatory Grad Gram in his SHS yearbook. We invite parents only to purchase a Grad Gram that will be printed with a photo and text of your choice.
